Lauren is 4 months old!

Oh, where has the time gone? Lauren had her 4 month checkup today and she is 14 lbs. 8 oz. and 26" long. That puts here right about at the 85th percentile. She is a big girl, but not really that chubby. Her thighs are starting to be a bit "squeezable," but that's it. She had to get 3 shots and an oral vaccine today and she was a trooper! She did much better than last time! She cried when they stuck her, but she stopped right away, pretty much before I even picked her up to soothe her. I took Reagan with me this time, and wasn't sure how she would handle seeing her sister freak out after getting her shots. I prepped her beforehand and she was very good. She sat on her chair in the corner and just soaked everything in. I think all she had on her mind was me telling her she had to be a good girl or she wouldn't be able to pick a toy out of the prize box! :) So, we'll be starting Lauren on rice cereal tomorrow morning and evening. Hopefully that will stop her from waking up somewhere between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. every morning!! Lately, that has been the pattern: Put to bed at 8 p.m., then waking early in the morning. However, I have recently been able to give her back her pacifier and she'll go back to sleep without a bottle until like 9 a.m., which is heavenly! :) (although short-lived because I'll be back to school in a couple of weeks :( ) She's also been rolling over from back to tummy lately. Ah, they grow up so fast! :) Be sure to check the previous two posts -- they're new, too! :)
Love to all! Nicole

Reagan's Day at Turtle Cove continued...

Read previous post first. These are just more pictures from Turtle Cove...

FEARLESS!

What a ham!!

Wwwhhheeeeeee!

Heading for a waterslide for, like, the hundredth time!

Ah, the only thing left to do after a day in the sun and water!

Reagan's Day at Turtle Cove...

was a blast!! Nana watched Lauren so Reagan and I could have a fun day out at Turtle Cove, the waterpark located in Lower Huron Metropark. We highly recommend it! It has a splash park with a big bucket that dumps down over the whole thing and 3 waterslides for kids, plus a lazy river, zero entry pool, and giant "adult" waterslide. I wished I could take Reagan on that one, she would have loved it!! She did great on everything! She tackled the kiddie waterslides by herself and grew fins and gills to swim in the big pool. Everyone was amazed at how comfortable she was. That's our fearless girl! :) Here are some photos from our exciting day...

My big girl sitting outside the waterpark!

Look at those cheeks!!!

Watching the bucket in awe (and a little nervousness!)

Enjoying Our Summer...

Well, our summer is quickly winding down -- I go back to school in exactly two weeks!! So, we're trying to pack as much fun as possible into these last days of summer. Reagan, Lauren, and I have been to Funtastic, Castaway Cafe, swimming lessons, playdates, and picnics at the park. We're also planning to hit Turtle Cove and the zoo before I go back to work. Also, I had my ultrasound yesterday and I am 7 1/2 weeks along right now. That is not as far along as my doctor originally thought, but it actually works out better school-wise. My official due date is March 28th, so if I hold out a few days, I could have ANOTHER child born in April. I've already looked ahead and the 20 week mark falls on November 8th, so I'll be counting down the days until we can find out the sex of the baby.
Here are a few pics recently taken of the girls...

This is Reagan at her swimming lessons. She did great!

I had so many pics of Reagan sitting on the couch in this cute outfit, but that stinker kept giving me funny faces!
Look at these cuties posing on the front lawn!!

I love this one! I have Reagan in the same outfit posing the same way!

Exciting News...

Well, some of you already know our happy news, but for those that don't....God decided to bless us with another pregnancy! Yes, I said I am pregnant again! And if that is not enough of a shock, I am probably already 8-9 weeks along, according to my doctor. We'll have an ultrasound on August 11th to confirm. Soooo, that means that Lauren and the new baby will be about 11 months apart. The phlebotomist at the ob/gyn's office heard my news and said, "oh, bless your heart!" I told her that's what you tell people when you think they're NUTS! Well, I was just saying that I would be happy getting pregnant again right away and then being done for good. That was a much better idea in theory! ha ha ha We're adjusting to the news and trying to plan ahead for this unique situation! Reagan says she wants the baby to be a boy, and is most excited about the prospect of buying yet ANOTHER stroller! :) I'll post again after the ultrasound...
